BrakitNova Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BrakitNova (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the BrakitNova mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

BrakitNova is operated by Adebo Thomas, an individual based in California, USA (“Operator”). For the purposes of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Operator is the data controller of your personal information.

By using BrakitNova, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name or display name and email address. This is used to identify you within the app and authenticate your access.

User Content. We collect content you create or share within the Service, including bracket predictions and outcomes, text chat messages in Lounge rooms, voice audio transmitted in Lounge voice rooms, fan cards and card collection data, and any other user-generated content.

Identifiers. We assign and store a unique User ID to your account to associate your activity, collections, and purchases with your profile.

Purchase Information. We collect information about subscription tier (Free or Premium) and purchase history. Payment information (credit card numbers, bank details) is handled entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase and is never accessed or stored by us.

Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, predictions submitted, brackets completed, packs opened, and time spent. We use this to improve the Service and calculate leaderboards, achievements, and in-app rewards.

Diagnostic Data. We collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to identify and fix technical issues. This data is not linked to your identity.

Information We Do Not Collect. We do not collect: precise or coarse location data, health or fitness data, financial information beyond purchase history, contacts, browsing history outside the app, biometric data, or sensitive personal information.

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, enable core features (predictions, Lounge chat and voice, card collections, leaderboards), process subscriptions and deliver Premium tier benefits, calculate pack odds and weighted card distributions, communicate with you about service updates and support, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, improve the Service through aggregated analytics, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-application tracking.

We share information only with the following categories of third parties, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

Infrastructure and Hosting: Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, database, and crash reporting; Vercel for application hosting and serverless functions; Upstash Redis for caching and session management.

AI and Content Generation: Anthropic PBC for AI-generated content such as match recaps, predictions, and commentary. We send limited context about match events; we do not share your personal information with Anthropic. Replicate for AI image generation of player card artwork; no user personal data is sent.

Sports Data: API-Football (api-sports.io) and The Odds API provide match data, fixtures, and statistics. We receive data from these services; we do not send user data to them.

Payments and Subscriptions: Apple Inc. processes all iOS In-App Purchases. Your payment details remain with Apple. Stripe processes subscription payments for web and Android users (not applicable to iOS users).

Other Users. Content you post publicly within the Service — including your display name, chat messages, voice audio in Lounge rooms, bracket predictions, and public leaderboard positions — is visible to other users of the Service.

Legal and Safety. We may share your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of BrakitNova, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers. If BrakitNova is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. You will be notified of any such change.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Your data is stored on secure servers operated by Firebase (Google Cloud), Vercel, and Upstash, with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. User authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication.

While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take measures to reduce risk.

All Users. You may access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccurate information through your account settings, request deletion of your account and associated data, and opt out of non-essential communications.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA). If you are a California resident, you have additional rights: the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; the right to delete personal information we have collected from you; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for behavioral advertising); the right to limit use of sensitive personal information; and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR/UK GDPR). If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under GDPR including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability; the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests; the right to withdraw consent at any time; and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is performance of a contract with you, your consent, and legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service. You may delete your account and associated personal data at any time.

In-App:Open Settings → Account → Delete Account → confirm. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

By Email: Send a deletion request to privacy@brakitnova.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

Some limited information may be retained where required by law (e.g., financial records for tax compliance) or for legitimate fraud prevention purposes, but will not be used for any other purpose.

BrakitNova includes Lounge features that allow users to communicate with each other via text chat and voice rooms. Content you post publicly is visible to other users. Voice room audio is transmitted in real time and is not routinely recorded by us, though other users may use third-party tools to record audio. You are responsible for content you share. Do not share personal information publicly that you would not want other users to see.

We moderate content consistent with our Community Guidelines and reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate those guidelines.

BrakitNova is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by FIFA, any national team, league, federation, or individual player. Card artwork in the Service is AI-generated and intended for in-app collection and gameplay only.

If you believe content in the Service infringes your intellectual property rights or violates your right of publicity, you may submit a takedown request to legal@brakitnova.com. Please include a description of the content and where it appears, a statement of your rights or claim, and your contact information with a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate.

We will review and respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe, typically 48 hours to 7 days.

BrakitNova is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable age threshold. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under the minimum age, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact privacy@brakitnova.com.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except information required for legal compliance (e.g., tax records), information in backups (deleted on normal backup rotation cycles, typically 90 days), and aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer identify you.

BrakitNova is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms where required for international data transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
